VIRTUAL AGM 2020
AGM was scheduled for 17th October 2020 but has now been cancelled in line with the Government’s rules applicable to Covid-19
Virtual AGM of the Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.
Listed below are the main items that need a decision from our members taking part in this virtual AGM.
If you approve of the minutes of the last AGM, the Chair’s report and accounts as given on the
Friends website and in this newsletter and are happy with the re-election of the committee officers
and members, you need do nothing more. If you do not get in touch we will take that as your
approval (in this way we can reduce the need to handle and open post and so reduce risk of spreading
However if you do not wish to approve the minutes of the last meeting, the Chair’s report, the
accounts or the re-election of committee officers and members then please write to John Trowell,
Secretary, “Lorrimer”, Main Road, Icklesham TN36 4BS’, listing any objections or questions. Please make
sure to enclose your name, address and an email or phone number so we can contact you. You will find the
minutes of the previous (47th) AGM on the Friends website. The Chair’s report on behalf of the committee
is featured in this newsletter. The Accounts for the period 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020 are also
contained in this newsletter.

The Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Secretary offer themselves for re-election.
The current committee members are: John Willsher, S.C. Morgan, Catherine Emmitt, Phil Jones, John
All of the current officers offer themselves for re-election.
Any member of the Friends who feels that they would like to put themselves forward for election to the
committee should contact the Secretary at the address above.
5. Appointment of Independent Examiner
Our Treasurer Mike Russell is content with our current examiners Ashdown Hurrey and the existing
committee members support their continued appointment.
